Our services

Our members are passionate about driving positive change for society. To help achieve this, we provide services for leaders across the world... from senior government ministers, to local community activists.

How much do these services cost? It depends. Our members often engage in pro bono work for organisations with limited resources who are seeking to drive meaningful change. However, we try to support this by gaining funding and donations from organisations who can afford to contribute.

Ultimately, any funding we receive goes towards supporting impact-focused activities, from research and education, to fellowships and outreach. So whether you're a corporation looking to better understand climate risks, or a local community group looking for guidance... why not reach out. Below are a few examples of what we do.

Policy Development Support

Our members provide regular support for policy development across a wide range of governmental and non-governmental organisations, from inter-governmental bodies such as NATO and the EU Parliament, through to individual ministries and organisations (from the UK Ministry of Defence to the Anglican Church). This can take many forms, from written evidence, policy briefs and consultancy, through to the delivery of policy-specific workshops and red-teaming activities.

Research Support

We support research projects across multiple sectors and organisations, from analyses of the security risks posed by climate change through to testing and development of responses and solutions for ecological insecurity. These activities can be wide ranging, from acting as researchers and expert contributors to projects, through to serving as peer reviewers and conduits for research impact. In addition to insights on specific trends surrounding climate, environment and resource security, our members are well placed to provide support on underlying ontological and methodological principles for enabling relevant and viable research.

Educational Provision

Our members are actively involved in the development and delivery of environmental security education. This includes a wide range of activities, from lectures, seminars, wargames and workshops for specific teams, through to development and delivery of tailored courses and accredited modules. It also includes a wide range of stakeholders, from executive-level officials seeking to gain ExecEd and CPD courses, through to school students hoping to understand how to effect change in a more targeted way.

Media and Commentary

Need an expert to support your media outputs? We have significant experience in providing valuable insights for media broadcasting on environmental security issues. With a diverse team of scholars and practitioners from various disciplines, the group excels in generating timely content and nuanced understandings of the nexus between the environment and security. Their expertise spans critical areas such as climate futures, adaptation and resilience, resource security, environmental communications, and international relations. Our multidisciplinary approach enables us to offer insights for interviews, discussions, and wider commentary that are both informed and accessible.
